The award-winning Hearing Care Centre from Colchester has now come to Wivenhoe and will be conducting regular clinic sessions at Wivenhoe Eyecare Opticians, 1 Belle Vue Road, initially on alternate Wednesday mornings.

The centre will be offering free hearing tests and free professional advice, without obligation to purchase. For those requiring a hearing aid, The Hearing Care Centre represents a wide range of discreet, latest-technology digital hearing aids from all the leading manufacturers, available on six-week, money back trial periods. It also aims to deliver a high standard of personalised service and boasts a first-class aftercare programme.

At the helm is clinical physiologist Vicki Skeels RHAD FSHAA with her team of registered hearing aid dispensers, who together total some 40 years’ local experience both in the NHS and private sector. Ms Skeels has also long been involved in wider industry matters, including time as Dispenser Representative with the Hearing Aid Council. She is a member of the British Academy of Audiology (BAA).

Through continuing professional development, Ms Skeels and her dispensing team, Janine Gardner RHAD FSHAA and Mary Youngman RHAD FSHAA, have all earned fellowship status of the influential British Society of Hearing Aid Audiologists (BSHAA).
